Project Overview
Mayco Construction successfully transformed a dark, enclosed corridor and reception area at Roseacre Primary School in Blackpool into a bright, modern and welcoming reception and meeting space.
The project was delivered over a demanding six-week programme during the school summer holidays, ensuring the newly refurbished area was ready for pupils and staff returning for the new term.
Scope of Works
Project Delivery
The works required careful planning and coordination to complete the structural alterations, building services and architectural finishes within the six-week school-holiday period.
Removing the existing walls and introducing new structural steelwork opened up the previously dark and restricted area. The addition of glazed screens and meeting-room walling maximised natural light while creating a secure, practical and professional reception environment.
New lighting, heating, power, access control and fire-safety provisions were incorporated alongside bespoke joinery and high-quality internal finishes.
The Result
The completed refurbishment has created a bright, open and welcoming reception area that provides an improved first impression for pupils, staff and visitors.
The new meeting room, glazed reception screen and bespoke benching have also made the space more practical and versatile for the school’s day-to-day requirements.
Delivered in just six weeks, the project demonstrates Mayco Construction’s ability to manage complex, multi-trade refurbishment projects within challenging programmes and live educational environments.
Another successful transformation completed by the Mayco team.
