Lancaster Girls Grammar School Fire Alarm System 

The works included new detectors, manual call points, sounders, visual alarms and repeater panels, with the systems linked across the three buildings. The installation also incorporated interfaces with door access, fire door hold-open devices and other building systems, alongside a distinct lockdown alert system.

The school presented a challenging working environment, with parts of the building listed. Cable routes and equipment locations had to be carefully planned around the existing building fabric. Works were phased to maintain fire alarm coverage while the school remained in use.
